…for your contribution to the Charborough Rd School Christmas Fair,
held on 30th November 2013.
It was a fabulously festive day, raising an amazing £2,750!! Children
and parents were busy seeing Santa in his grotto, playing games,
entering raffles and tombolas, doing a bit of Christmas shopping and
getting faces painted. There were beautiful performances by the
schools choir and harmonica players, and everyone went home ready
to start their countdown to Christmas!
Your incredibly generous support makes a really big difference to the
futures of the children at our school. We simply couldn’t run these
events for families to enjoy without people like you.
The money raised will be used to make the final payment on the cost
of the school’s Play Pod. That mysterious, corrugated shack in the
playground encourages creativity and imaginative play, and regular
restocking with new Children’s Scrapstore items means it never runs
out of interesting make-and-pretend cool stuff! Staff are trained as
part of the cost to ensure kids get the most out of it at playtimes as
well as structured lessons.
