New Ingoing Tenants – FAQ’s

Frequently Asked Questions

We kindly request that all ingoing tenants read all enclosed prior to move in day to ensure that they are fully informed.

Each group of ingoing tenants will need to organize with the Edwards Team a 30 minute slot to visit, sign paperwork and to collect keys (on move in day only). This must be organised in advance by yourself and spaces are available on a first come first serve basis.

ALL tenants must be available on move in day at Edwards Branch, without all tenants onsite and all paperwork signed no one will be able to move in.

Once you have paid your holding fee you cannot change your move in date.

Your full balance must be paid no later than 2 days before move in day in cleared funds.

It is your sole responsibility to take your own meter readings and contact your own suppliers.

When setting up your standing order you must ensure that you put on it the reference that will be supplied to you on move in day. If you do not we will not be able to allocate your rents and we will take it as unpaid and fees will need to be charged to you.

No Items within the tenancy agreement will be changed.

When your deposit is logged with our scheme you will receive details via email. Keep these safe as you will need them when you move out.

If your property is being managed by The Edwards Team the following will be applicable:

Once you have moved in, there will be regular periodic inspections of your property by The Edwards team. You will receive 24hours notice of these inspections. You are not required to be present as we will visit whether you are available or not upon your landlords request and as set out in your tenancy agreement.

You will be required to sign an inventory and check in sheet on move in day. You will get 7 days to return this to Edwards with any amendments that you may have. If you do not return this with your amendments then the original will stand.
